| Sun, Oct 22 - "Leveraging The People's Power" - 10:00 AM with Rev. Tracy Sprowls Our democracy is in peril. Timothy Snyder, the acclaimed historian and author of books like On Tyranny, tells us that one of the primary things the average person can do to keep a democracy strong is commit to an institution. Right when we find ourselves in the midst of a political crisis, membership in congregations and other organizations is dramatically down. Let's talk! --- Join us this Sunday for our RE Teacher Dedication - a way to honor and hold our teachers and families for the work of religious education! |

Sun, Oct 29 - "Grimm and Grimmer" - 10:00 AM with Rev. Tracy Sprowls
Scary stories help us know fear in our bodies and how to use our intellect and our innate resilience to overcome it. There is plenty to fear in the real world. While we can’t fix everything, we can become more resilient and more compassionate. Scary stories can help. |

Donate Books with Cee
Want to usefully discard books in good condition? Bring them to the Fellowship on Sunday. I will transport them to the AAUW on Wednesday, which is my day to work with the books. AAUW women sort donated materials, price them, and then sell them in a gignormous book sale in May, with proceeds going to local nonprofits that help women and support education. For more info, check with Cee (Carol) Pollard or check the State College AAUW website. |
Place to Stay for Rev. Tracy
Rev. Tracy has been very fortunate to have been using the Dietrich’s home while they have been away, but they return in December. Rev. Tracy needs an inexpensive room or place from December 15 through June 30. She would be using the room/place about two weeks out of the month. Please email Rev. Tracy with any information or questions. |
